About

Marilyn Indahl has spent her entire life in the Twin Cities of Minnesota. Discovering her interest in the arts as a child she studied pottery and painting in high school. As a young adult, she enjoyed photography, but didn’t take it seriously until her mid 30’s. Working as a photojournalist and studio manager, photography became her profession. While taking photographs was still enjoyable, she began to look for another creative outlet.

This is when Marilyn discovered glass. First taking a class in stained glass, and then in glass blowing, Marilyn found new joy in creating with her hands. Glass had always fascinated her, watching the glass blowers as a child at various fairs around the country. Mesmerized at the magical colors that come from that orange lava that only glass can make.
